Framing
Overview
Over many years of producing and exhibiting prints, we’ve tested a wide range of framing styles, materials, and glazing systems.
That experience has helped us refine an approach that balances visual clarity, archival protection, and long-term stability.
Our framing recommendations follow the same principle as our printmaking — precise, minimal, and made to last.
Series: Signature / Radiance / Bugs
Framed editions will soon be available for selected Signature, Radiance, and Bugs prints.
These use metal frames with a slim, contemporary profile and museum-quality matte paper — the same specification used in our unframed editions.
They are supplied ready to hang, with crystal-clear acrylic glazing and sturdy corner protection for transit.
Series: Mersenne
For the Mersenne collection, framing is available on request (POA).
These large-format fine-art prints can be presented in a wide range of finishes — from solid-wood frames to UV-protective glazing and archival mounts.
We work with partners who specialise in conservation-grade framing for galleries and collectors.
Because of the scale and range of choices, we quote framing and delivery individually for each order.
Working with a Professional Framer
If you plan to have your print framed by a local or third-party picture framer, we recommend keeping it sealed in its original packaging until you take it in.
This ensures the print stays clean and free from dust or accidental marks.
Professional framers are highly experienced in handling fine-art prints and will unwrap, mount, and frame your work safely in a controlled environment.
We strongly encourage using a trusted framer, particularly for large-format or limited-edition prints, to guarantee the best long-term results.
General Framing Advice
If you’re framing your print independently, a few simple precautions will help ensure the best result:
- Handle the print only by the edges, ideally with cotton gloves.
- Use acid-free mount board and backing materials.
- Avoid adhesives directly on the artwork; use archival corners or hinges.
- Keep the print slightly spaced from the glazing using a mount or spacer — this prevents contact with the surface.
- Display framed prints away from direct sunlight, humidity, or heat sources.
Properly framed and cared for, your print should retain its colour and surface quality for decades.
